Arizona Bar Foundation and State Bar of Arizona Volunteer Programs

Volunteer opportunities offered through joint programs of the Arizona Bar Foundation and State Bar of Arizona include free and reduced cost legal assistance projects and with law related education programs at schools throughout Arizona.

Modest Means Project

The Modest Means Project is a partnership program of the Arizona Bar Foundation and the State Bar of Arizona. The Modest Means Project provides low-cost legal assistance to individuals who do not qualify for free legal services but cannot afford the expertise of attorneys at the standard rate. Participating Modest Means Project attorneys agree to provide eligible applicants a one-hour meeting for a fee of $75. In that meeting, participating attorneys are expected to offer only brief advice or unbundled services.

Law Related Education Programs

The Arizona Bar Foundation has volunteer opportunities available working with students and schools to teach about the law through programs like Mock Trial, We the People, Connecting with Classrooms, and Project Citizen.

State Bar of Arizona Volunteer Opportunities

The State Bar of Arizona offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. They seek volunteers to participate in various committees, to serve as mentors to less-seasoned attorneys, to participate in sections, and to teach CLE's in the AZCLE program.
