Description: Volunteer Opportunity: Help Arizonans Understand Their Housing Rights Step Up to Justice (SU2J) seeks volunteer attorneys to lead our Renter Education for Neighborhoods & Tenants (RENT) community education presentations. These sessions educate tenants on their legal rights and responsibilities under the Arizona Residential Landlord & Tenant Act. The goal of RENT is to help renters avoid landlord-tenant disputes, prevent eviction, and promote long-term housing stability. Time Commitment & Format RENT presentations are offered online statewide and in person at trusted community partner sites throughout Pima County. Total time commitment: 1 hour 30 minutes: Guide participants through a prepared PowerPoint presentation. 30 minutes: Answer participant questions. Volunteers may choose the format that best suits their schedule and location. Support Provided SU2J provides training and all presentation materials. Staff is available to assist during online sessions and coordinate logistics for in-person events. Your legal expertise can make a real difference in helping Arizonans stay safely housed.
